I saw Cait from PaperFury do a post about this book and it struck me as really interesting. It turns out I'd added it to my TBR a few weeks ago, but I can't remember why. Cait had a lot of great things to say in her review and reminded me of why I wanted to read this book.
Based on the description, it feels like this book will be a cool mix of the Grisha trilogy (Russian culture) and The Night Circus (magicians' duel). I've read Shadow and Bone and I've read The Night Circus, both of which I enjoyed immensely, so why wouldn't I want to try out something that has elements similar to both?
